Inspiring sixth form students at Parrs Wood High School
Dr Ayeh Mahdmina’s visit to Parrs Wood Sixth Form College left a lasting impression on students, who were inspired by her remarkable journey from an 11-year-old emigrating from Iran with no English to becoming a leading specialist orthodontist. She shared how her early challenges fuelled her determination to excel academically, pursue dentistry, and eventually specialise in orthodontics after discovering a passion for compassionate, patient-centred care during her own braces treatment. Dr Mahdmina has now set up her own orthodontic practice.
Her story of perseverance, dedication, and commitment to mastering her craft, culminating in her qualification as a specialist orthodontist in 2015, gave students a powerful example of what is possible through resilience and hard work.
