Your child's orthodontic
care options...

At Joyful Orthodontics, we’re committed to helping every child achieve a healthy, confident smile. If you’re unsure whether NHS orthodontic treatment is the right choice for your child, we’re here to provide clarity and support. While we don’t offer NHS treatment directly, but we do collaborate closely with other NHS orthodontists and general dentists to ensure your child gets the care they need.

the initial consultation
Our consultation is designed to assess your child’s orthodontic needs and provide expert advice on the best treatment options. During the consultation, we’ll likely conduct a thorough examination, including 3D scans, photographs, and, if necessary, X-rays. Together, we’ll explore whether NHS treatment is suitable or if private care might be a better option.

Why Early Orthodontic Assessment Matters
By the age of 12, most children have their permanent teeth, making this an ideal time for orthodontic assessment. Early treatment can help correct developing issues such as overcrowding or bite problems, potentially avoiding more complex treatments later. Dr Ayeh can help you understand the benefits of addressing these concerns early and guide you on the next steps.

Common Orthodontic Issues We Assess
Some dental conditions that may indicate the need for treatment include:
Crossbite (front or back teeth)
Crowding
Underbite
Open bite
Deep bite
Protrusion
Spacing issues
If your child shows signs of any of these concerns, we recommend scheduling an assessment with us.

Private Treatment as an Alternative to NHS Braces
If NHS waiting lists are too long in your area, or if your child does not qualify for NHS treatment, we offer private treatment options tailored to their needs. With modern braces, clear aligners, and other advanced solutions, private treatment can provide flexibility, shorter waiting times, and a more personalised experience.
